Makya Johnson

Makya Johnson is a graduate of Dadeville High School. She has maintained a GPA of 4.11 while being a part of multiple clubs and organizations, as well as playing three varsity sports. Makya was voted Miss DHS by the student body; this is the highest honor at Dadeville High school. Makya is very active in her school and community. Makya has volunteered in multiple community projects. She is a member of the executive council for student council. Makya was the recipient of the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership award. She was also an honorable mention for NCWIT. Makya plans to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham to major in nursing.

Throughout my years in high school I attended many leadership conferences. Out of all of these conferences one quote stood out. “Good, better, best never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best.” I have lived by this quote since the second semester of my junior year. It has helped me to stay motivated and work harder than ever to accomplish my goals.
