Diahmin Hawkins

A lady with ambition is a lady on a mission.” Diahmin Hawkins is a high-achieving scholar who graduated from Ramsay High School in the top ten percent of her class with a 3.95 GPA and 60 hours of community service in 2017. She was a part of the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Club, National Honor Society, and National Honor Art Society. Now, she attends the illustrious Tennessee State University as Dean’s List scholar with a 3.31 GPA. During her Freshman year of college, she served as Freshman Class Treasurer for the Freshman Delegation of SGA, Treasurer for Wilson Hall Dormitory, and a member of S.T.E.M. During her Sophomore year, she served as Sophomore Class Treasurer for Sophomore Class Delegation for the 78th Administration for the Student Government Association, SGA Parliamentarian, SGA Community Service Co-Chair, Collegiate Police Academy member, TLSAMP Mentor, University Ambassador, Member of the Positivity Board, and Department of Homeland Security Leadership Scholar.


Diahmin Hawkins is currently serving as the 2nd Vice President of the Alpha Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, President of the Math Club, Intern for the Tennessee State Capitol, National Pan- Hellenic Council Treasurer, a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and Beta Kappa Chi National Scientific Honor Society. Diahmin is a strong advocate of community service where she is involved in several social and enrichment activities to boost community involvement. Diahmin serves as the President of the Math Club where she tutors young students on mathematics.

Diahmin is a mentor for underclassmen on the campus of Tennessee State University where she advises students on personal matters in relation to their career paths. Also, she mentors young ladies at Cockrill Elementary in Nashville, Tennessee. Through these activities, she is constantly reminded why she chose Mathematics as her major in hopes of becoming a Theoretical Mathematician for NASA.
